Artist Bio:

Inspired by: I am usually inspired to make a mosaic that reminds me of a place I have been or a good time with family and friends. I like my pieces to evoke memories of good times.

I began making art at a folk art class in Tasmania, I learnt how to paint bears and country scenes using folk techniques. I then grew to love making quilts, specifically American style patchwork, by going to a class run by an American mum and daughter that inspired my designs. I made quilts for 15 years and then I got into restoring antiques and now using chalk paint to up-cycle my own furniture and pieces found at op shops.

I first got into mosaic art because I wanted a mosaic house number and then I began to make some pieces to go around the pool area. I have now made 8 mosaics and am experimenting with painting tiles using ink. I am just starting out with selling mosaics but am excited to revisit the business side of things and gauge interest in this art form.
