In partnership with Healthway promoting the Act-Belong-Commit message, West Australian Music (WAM) are pleased to present the second in a series of free song writing workshops as part of Bunbury's Across The Road Summer Music Festival // February series and WAM's Song of the Year Program. The workshop will take place on Saturday 9 February.

This workshop presents a unique opportunity for aspiring artists to explore the creative process, connect with others, and learn about the craft of song writing from an established WA artist.

Leading the workshop is Perth singer/songwriter/musician Timothy Nelson, who has been recognised for his song writing craft multiple times over his career in WAM’s Song of the Year awards

This workshop provides a genuine synergy with the Act-Belong-Commit message and an opportunity for people to improve and maintain positive mental health through the arts and being creative.

“I’m so pleased to be working with Healthway to promote the Act-Belong-Commit message as part of WAM’s new song writing workshops,” said workshop coordinator Em Burrows.

“Song writing and playing music has long proved to be an amazing creative outlet and effective way of staying happy, healthy and connected to your community so it’s great to be able to inject this new aspect into the workshop program!”
